Again, welcome to MHFF/MH Youth Cheer!

Communications with the parents and kids is very important to us so please check your e-mails regularly.

Flag Football will start this Saturday, July 19 from 9-12 at Bethany Park (Legacy and Communidad) in Mountain House with our annual training camp.

-Parking is very limited so walk, come early or try to carpool. Please don’t be late!
-There is just one training camp for everyone this year!
-As usual, we need lots of volunteers for this event (adults and older kids). If you are volunteering and you have been part of MHFF before, please try to wear your MHFF t-shirt or coaches polo. If you don’t have any MHFF attire, that’s fine too.
-We will be providing some water but feel free to bring extra water and a chair for yourself. Some parents even bring umbrellas and/or tents to stay cool.
-Kids should come in comfortable clothing (shirts and shorts) and athletic shoes (cleats if you have them).
-When you arrive, go to the registration table and get a name tag for your kid.

Questions:  Please contact Andy Su at andy@mhflagfootball.com

Frequently Asked Questions:
1) How do I register my kid to play or myself to volunteer?  Look at the section below and send the required information to andy@mhflagfootball.com and submit payment.

2) How are the players (and coaches) assigned to teams?  Once we fill all or most of our spots, I take the entire list in order of birthdays and cut it into 5 divisions (4 of 80 and 1 of 40).  Then, we make movements (up only) based on requests (my son wants to be with his friend who is older).  After that, we look to see how many coaches are in each division and move a few  more kids (and their head coach parents) to get an equal number of head coaches in each of the 4 oldest divisions.  The rest of the players are  distributed based on age and ability and size.

3) Will I get my requests?  Although historically, over 90% of requests are granted, some of you will not because sometimes it is impossible (Joe wants to be with his friend Mike but they requested different coaches or different practice days) and sometimes I will not grant requests if teams will be very unequal if the request is granted (the 3 fastest kids in the league want to be on the same team).

4) Where can I find the YouTube videos of the games?  Go to our Facebook page (don't forget to like us!)
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mountain-House-Flag-Football/136469379738909

5) What is Spirit Day?  We ask (not required though) the players and cheerleaders to wear their jerseys and uniforms to school on fridays to show their team spirit.

6) What will the players get?  In addition to the personalized jersey and league shorts, each player will get a participation trophy and a team photo at the end of the year.

7) Can you challenge a referee call?  Only the head coach can challenge a rule mistake but not judgement calls (tackling, holding, pass interference, etc).  If the referee does not correct the mistake, the coach can contact the administrator on the field.

8) Where can I find lost items?  We collect a lot of lost and found each year and put it in a box next to the concessions on fields 1 & 2.  Please put your kid's name on water bottles, sweatshirts, etc.
