2016 Youth Cheer Season


Training Camp on Saturday July 23 from 9-11 at Bethany Park.

It is not mandatory so you do not need to email me if you cannot come.

Team assignments will be emailed out this Friday July 15 (or ealier)

Registration Period:  March 1-July 9, 2016 (or until we're reach 72 cheerleaders)

Training Camp:  Saturday July 23 from 9-11 am at Bethany Park

Preseason:  July 23-August 26, 2016

Season (11 games):  August 27-November 5, 2016

Photo Days:  September 10 & 17
 
Practice days and times:  Thursdays, 530-630 pm (maybe 600-700). Starting on July 28.

Practice Location:  Next to Bethany Park Field 1
 
Length of Practices:  60 minutes
 
Length of Football Games:  Two 25 minute halves with a 3 minute half-time.

Division Start Times (NEW START TIMES):  Jr Novice 830 am, Novice 940 am, Freshman (new division) 1050 amSophomore 1200 noon, JV 110 pm, Varsity 220 pm
 
Locations (all fields in Mountain House): 

Fields 1 and 2 at Bethany Park (corner of Comunidad and Legacy) 

Fields 3 and 4 at Bethany School (corner of Comunidad and Heritage) 

Field 5 and 6 at Altamont Park (corner of W Piedmont Dr and N Ventura St)

Cost:  $100 (cash, check payable to Mountain House Flag Football or via PayPal)

Uniforms/Awards:  Players will receive a set of MH Youth Cheer uniform (bow, hoodie, t-shirt, shell, skirt and briefs), pom poms, a MHYC bag and a MHYC water bottle.
White shoes required but not provided.  And they will receive a trophy and team photo at the end of the year.

Volunteers (coach):  Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering to coach.  High school kids can get volunteer hours.

5) What is Spirit Day?  We ask (not required though) the players and cheerleaders to wear their jerseys and uniforms to school on fridays during the season to show their team spirit.

6) What will the players get?  In addition to the bow, hoodie, t-shirt, top, skirt, briefs, each cheerleader will get a participation trophy and a team photo at the end of the year.

7) Where can I find lost items?  We collect a lot of lost and found each year and put it in a box next to the concessions on fields 1 & 2.  Please put your kid's name on water bottles, sweatshirts, etc.

To keep our registration fees low, each kid in the league is required to provide a volunteer for 2 hours (age 15 or older) for the season.

3  No bad behavior-you and your kid(s) may be suspended by the league administrator for one or more games (no refund) for bad behavior (fighting, hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, tackling, bullying, swearing, negative comments, etc.)

Coaches Code of Conduct

3  No bad behavior-you may be suspended by the league administrator for one or more games and 
asked to leave the field for bad behavior 
(running up the scores, not distributing the playing time equally, fighting, hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, tackling, bullying, swearing, negative comments, etc.) and your kid(s) may be suspended for your bad behavior.

Accidental Waiver and Release of Liability (AWRL)

I acknowledge that flag football and cheerleading is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and that participation in a flag football and cheerleading event carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage.  The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants and spectators.  I certify that I am physically fit to participate in these events and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.  I consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during these events and to allow photos to be taken and posted on the league websites and related sites.  With full understanding of the potential risks, I assume all of the risks of participating in any way in these events. 

I hereby take action for myself, my executors, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability for my death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage except that which is the result of gross negligence and/or wanton misconduct of persons or entities listed below: MOUNTAIN HOUSE FLAG FOOTBALL, INC., MOUNTAIN HOUSE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT, LAMMERSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents and other participants and spectators;

(B) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of entities or persons listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and

(C) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made by myself, other individuals or entities as a result of any of my actions.

I acknowledge that this AWRL form will be used by the event organizers, in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events.  This AWRL shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.  This AWRL shall apply to each and every time I participate in these events.

If participant is less than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.

I, the parent or legal guardian of the participant, will execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I represent that I have legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I have also read and understand the AWRL and have reviewed them with the minor named herein.  I hereby bind myself, the minor named herein and all other assigns to the terms of the AWRL.  I fully consent to his/her participation in these events.
