2017 Adult Flag Football Seasons

Summer Season 

Ages:  18 and older (born before April 30, 1999).  14-17 year olds may play with league approval.
 
Registration Period:   March 19-April 23
 
Season (5 weeks):  Sunday April 30 - Sunday June 11 (no games on May 14 & 28)
 
Playoffs:  Sunday June 18 

Times:  9 am-12 noon (you may make requests but you could be scheduled anytime between 9 am-6 pm).
 
Games (2 each Sunday unless there is a bye):  Two 20 minute halves with a 3 minute half-time

Division:  
Competitive and Recreational or combo (depending on who signs up)

Format:  
Five on Five, non-contact flag football
 
Location: Bethany Park

Cost:  $480 ($240 entry fee + $240 referee and forfeit deposit)

Jerseys:  All players must wear the same color jersey.  Players not wearing the same color jersey CANNOT play.  

Referees:  
Teams must provide THREE volunteer referees (players on your team) per week.
 
Equipment:  Cleats with nonmetal spikes are strongly recommended.  Flags will be provided for use during the season.

Code of Conduct for players and spectators (our 3 rules)
1  Listen to the commissioner, director and referees.
2  No bad behavior-you may be suspended by the league administrators for one or more games (no refund) for bad behavior (fighting, hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, tackling, 
bullying, swearing, derogatory comments, etc.)

Accidental Waiver and Release of Liability (AWRL)

I acknowledge that flag football is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and that participation in a flag footballevent carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage.  The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants and spectators.  I certify that I am physically fit to participate in these events and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.  I consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during these events and to allow photos to be taken and posted on the league websites and related sites.  With full understanding of the potential risks, I assume all of the risks of participating in any way in these events. 

I hereby take action for myself, my executors, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability for my death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage except that which is the result of gross negligence and/or wanton misconduct of persons or entities listed below: MOUNTAIN HOUSE FLAG FOOTBALL, INC., MOUNTAIN HOUSE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT, LAMMERSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents and other participants and spectators;

(B) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of entities or persons listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and

(C) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made by myself, other individuals or entities as a result of any of my actions.

I acknowledge that this AWRL form will be used by the event organizers, in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events.  This AWRL shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.  This AWRL shall apply to each and every time I participate in these events.

If participant is less than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.

I, the parent or legal guardian of the participant, will execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I represent that I have legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I have also read and understand the AWRL and have reviewed them with the minor named herein.  I hereby bind myself, the minor named herein and all other assigns to the terms of the AWRL.  I fully consent to his/her participation in these events.

Season (5 weeks):  Sunday February 12 - Sunday March 12
 
Playoffs:  Sunday March 19  (not all teams will make the playoffs)

Times:  
9 am-6 pm (you may make requests but you could be scheduled anytime between 9 am-6 pm).
 
Games (2 each Sunday unless there is a bye):  Two 20 minute halves with a 3 minute half-time.  Rain-outs will not be made up.

Division:  
Competitive and Recreational (still very competitive) or combo (depending on who signs up)

Number of Teams:  TBD

Format:  
Five on Five, non-contact flag football
 
Location: Bethany School

Cost:  $360 per team (max of 10 players may suit up but you may have unlimited number on the IR) + $240 forfeit/ref deposit (you 
will get it back if you show up to all your games and provide 3 referees for all your games) so you must submit $600 to enter.

Jerseys:  All players must wear the same color jersey.  Players not wearing the same color jersey CANNOT play.   Order extra jerseys for replacement players.

Referees:  
Teams must provide THREE volunteer referees (players on your team) per week.
