We hold monthly tournaments from March to September of each year at various courses around Mountain House (but sometimes further away.)

1) How do I register?
To register for any of our tournaments, email me (andy@mhflagfootball.com) first and then submit the fee (payable to MHFF) to

2) Do I need to sign a waiver? Registration for any of our tournaments is an acknowledgement that you have read and agree to abide by the MH Flag Football Accidental Waiver and Release of Liability (below).
3) What do the winners get? A small trophy and sometimes a gift card.
4) Any other prizes? We usually have a closest to the pin hole and give out a "car" to the winner of that contest.
5) How is the handicap calculated? We started using a secret formula in 2014 based on course rating and slope.
6) How do I get a handicap? You will not get one for your first 3 tournaments (you will play as a newbie). Your handicap will be based only on your tournament scores so starting with your 4th tournament with the club you will have a handicap.
7) Can I use my NCGA handicap? NOOOOOOOOO!
8) What is the deadline to sign up? Two weeks before the tournament date.
9) Do I have to pay to join the club? No. Membership is free.

Accidental Waiver and Release of Liability (AWRL) Updated March 10, 2021
I acknowledge that golf is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and that participation in a golf event carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, contagious diseases such as Covid-19, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants and spectators. I certify that I am physically fit to participate in these events and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person. I consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during these events and to allow photos to be taken and posted on the league websites and related sites. With full understanding of the potential risks, I assume all of the risks of participating in any way in these events. I hereby take action for myself, my executors, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability for my death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage except that which is the result of gross negligence and/or wanton misconduct of persons or entities listed below: MOUNTAIN HOUSE FLAG FOOTBALL, INC., any of the golf courses that we play at, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents and other participants and spectators;

(B) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of entities or persons listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and

(C) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made by myself, other individuals or entities as a result of any of my actions.I acknowledge that this AWRL form will be used by the event organizers, in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events. This AWRL shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

This AWRL shall apply to each and every time I participate in these events.If participant is less than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.I, the parent or legal guardian of the participant, will execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein. I represent that I have legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the minor named herein. I have also read and understand the AWRL and have reviewed them with the minor named herein. I hereby bind myself, the minor named herein and all other assigns to the terms of the AWRL. I fully consent to his/her participation in these events.
